As I think about the days we live in I understand why so many people become discouraged or find a lot to fear. I understand but I believe differently. You see I have hope. Hope that what Jesus said is true. I have hope that my daughter's generation and her children will take up the banner of Christ and right the wrongs my generation have done. The Jesus I worship is not a white God, He is not colored at all, He is the Creator and He does not cater to one race. This video is a good representation of the universal God and the hope I have in the next generation. My generation can get 80,000 to watch a football game in this dome but Jesus brought together 80,000 to worship Him.

Staying at Restoration Farm

Every now and then we get asked about what our fees for coming to stay at the farm. From the conception of the dream we have wanted to offer stays at Restoration Farm free for pastors, missionaries and wounded warriors. We do accept free will offerings to help cover the cost for providing meals to our guest
We will also offer free of charge marriage counseling and individual counseling. Any donations these folks would like to make will be gladly accepted.
Kat and I have been greatly blessed with the farm we have and God has given us certain gifts that we believe are to be used in service to others. We both currently work and will continue to work until our farm produces the income needed to replace our current jobs. Our goal is to one day be full-time farmers/counselors.

Here are the current ministries that we are involved in:
1. On some Mondays I meet with other men to talk about the issues men face. These issues could involved any of the following: greed, pride, additions, loneliness, fear, anger, fatherhood, and the list goes on and on.
2. Kat and I lead a Lake Hills Community Church house group on Monday evenings that is held in the Gravois Mills area.
3. Kat and I lead a house group on Tuesday evenings that is held in the Versailles area.
4. We do private counseling with men or women who would like to make serious changes in their lives.

Each of these ministries have one goal in mind and that is Restoration. We believe there are three main areas people are seeking restoration in. 1. They want their relationship with God restored, 2. they want their relationship with their spouse, family, or others restored and 3. they want their emotional or spiritual wounds healed. In each of these areas he only way for restoration to be experienced is through a closer connection to the Holy Spirit.

Look at the above three photos that I have taken this year at Restoration Farm. One has a stormy sky, another a dreamy pond reflection and the third a blazing sunset. They all can reflect where we are in our lives and in the photo below is a representation of what brings us reconciliation with our Creator.

Restoration Farm Opportunities

Several years ago I began to think that I would never have the opportunity to live the dream that God placed in my heart. I kept asking God to show me through my wife, Kat, what ministry He wanted me to do. I expected it would involve an inner-city ministry or even a water front church plant at the Lake of the Ozarks. What God revealed to me through Kat as our farm which we have named Restoration Farm.

Since moving down to the Ozarks Kat and I have been humbled by how God has blessed us here. It is interesting how God will give you a dream and after you surrender it back to Him will lead you to accomplishing the dream. We still can't believe how our dream has come together and how God continues to increase our dream.

Back in the fall we had the opportunity to lead a house group which still meets each Monday evening. Beginning in February we will be leading another group which we will call Discovery. Also on Mondays I meet with another guy and we hope to invite other men to join us.

We have set a goal of helping 30 people in the coming year to be restored. Restored emotionally, physically or spiritually. Restoration Farm is a place for wounded, broken and discouraged pastors, missionaries, couples and wounded warriors to come and get restored by the Master Healer. Kat and my job in all of that is to be here and provide a pace of safety for the Holy Spirit to do His work.

In May we have the honor to host Danny Daniels (http://www.danny-daniels.com/bio.html) an internationally known songwriter, worship leader & educator.
