Spring Plans at Restoration Farm

This spring one of the things we will be doing is showing the video "Back to Eden" and we will be moving our garden into a Back to Eden garden.

I have decided to experiment on a small scale with this gardening concept by planting clover in wood chips in a starter tray.

I began the experiment on February 28, 2014. I will document the results with photos.

 Day 1

Day 3
Look close and you will see two heads popping out of the wood chips.

Another experiment we are doing is growing microgreens. Here are a few photos of what we have so far.

One of the trays with the microgreens contains pea pebbles and the greens seem to be growing well in them.
We will try to market our microgreens to restaurants in Columbia, MO and at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Restoration Farm

Spring is just around the corner and we will be ordering the materials for our cabin. This is a view of the pond from what will be the cabin location.

Our 2014 goals are to impact our community by teaching chemical free and sustainable gardening techniques to local gardeners and farmers. We also want to be instruments God uses to provide restoration to at least 20 people or couples. Building the cabin is the first step in providing a place for restoration for fallen, wounded, or weary pastors and missionaries.
I took the above photo on a cold Snowy February morning.  This is a view from the pond looking up to house.

Restoration Farm Photos

Almost every day I can find some form of beauty on Restoration Farm. It could be in the sunrise, the sunset, the animals or the plant life. Kat and I feel blessed to be living our dream at Restoration Farm. I took this shot of Restoration Farm early on a cold February morning.
I took this shot through some of our trees as the sun was rising on a cold, snowy February morning.
Here are some of the Morning Glories we grew last year.
Here is a touching moment between me and one of our cats, Sam.
